     Title: Peoples National Bank awards over $22,000 in local community scholarships

Since 1909, Peoples National Bank has provided financial services to Southern Illinois. In keeping with the tradition of community service and commitment to the education of future civic and business leaders, Peoples National Bank has established an educational scholarship that assists high school graduates in continuing their education at a university, college, trade or vocational school. Each recipient of the Peoples National Bank scholarship receives a $500 scholarship. Scholarships are awarded to students exhibiting positive leadership and character in academic, community and extra-curricular activities.

Randy Kirsch, Community Bank President of the McLeansboro location, awarded eight scholarships to Hamilton County High School students Alyssa Winemiller, Emily Miller, Alexandra Zachman, Corey Richards, Clint Gwaltney, Adam Rubenacker, Hollie Cocke and Megan Wodicker. 

Hunt Bonan, Community Bank President of the Mt. Vernon and Fairfield locations, awarded 15 scholarships to Mt. Vernon Township High School students Aaron Conley, Ryan Conley, Taylor Stockman, Miles Reever, Jacqueline Flood and Jeffrey Wright; Waltonville Community High School students Hannah Herzing, Erika Kabat and Mallory Owens; Webber Township High School student Dakota Lorett; Woodlawn Community High School student Christian Hollenkamp; Fairfield Community High School students Kelby Fenton and Colin Dunn; Wayne City High School students Christin Austin and Trevor Pasley.  

Bill Bonan II, Community Bank President of the Carmi, Harrisburg, Marion and Benton locations, awarded 15 scholarships to Carrier Mills High School student Hollis Austin; Harrisburg High School students Tyler McGowan and Caitlyn Collins;  NCOE High School students Morgan Barton and Bryce Williams; Benton High School students Jared Johnston and Sydney Morris; Goreville High School student Ty Taborn; Crab Orchard High School student Drew Johnson; Johnston City High School student Erica Harrison; Carmi-White County High School students Ryan Murphy and Katelyn Botsch and Marion High School student Chelsea Morris. 

Bo Baer, Community Bank President of the Centralia and Salem locations, awarded six scholarships to Centralia High School student Daniel Fullerton; Salem Community High School students Bailey Hester, Ambrocya Burge, Thomas Steele, Katelyn Sager and Eric Saatkamp.
